Victory sends WTU to the playoffs, loss ends its season

The West Texas United Sockers close their regular season schedule at 7:30 tonight when they travel to face the Rio Grande Valley Bravos in a must-win situation at Tiger Stadium in Hidalgo.
The Sockers, coming off a 1-0 loss at Laredo on Friday, dropped to fourth place in the PDL standings with El Paso’s 2-1 victory over Houston on Saturday. The Sockers have 24 points, with El Paso and Austin tied for second with 26 points. Each victory is worth three points in the standings, with a tie worth just one.
The Bravos sit in fifth with 23 points.
