Recruiting: Permian / OHS signings
Comments 0 | Recommend 0>> Permian's Dugan picks ASC school: Permian golfer Jerry Dugan will sign a letter of intent at 8 a.m. Thursday to play golf at NCAA Division III Louisiana College.
Dugan helped lead the Panthers to their first Region I-5A tournament bid since 2003 in his only season on the varsity. He played on the junior varsity team as a sophomore and junior.
Dugan shot a 78 in the final round of District 3-5A play to help Permian clinch a regional berth. He also played defensive back for the District 3-5A champion football team.
The signing will be in the Permian library.
Louisiana College, which is located in Pineville, La., is a member of the American Southwest Conference, which includes Sul Ross State in Alpine and McMurry University and Hardin-Simmons College in Abilene.
>> OHS has two decide: Samantha Salazar and Jennifer Janosick will sign letters of intent at 3:30 p.m. today to attend colleges in the Permian Basin.
Salazar will sign with Midland College to play volleyball, while Janosick will sign with UTPB to play soccer.
The signings will take place in the OHS Fieldhouse.
