LONE STAR FOOTBALL LEAGUE: Roughnecks schedule announced

The Lone Star Football League announced its 2012 schedule Thursday, with the West Texas Roughnecks opening the season with a pair of road games.
Amarillo plays host to the Roughnecks in the season opener for both teams March 31, and the Roughnecks play April 7 at Corpus Christi before returning to Ector County Coliseum for the first of five consecutive home games April 14 against Rio Grande Valley.
Each of the eight teams in the Lone Star Football League plays six games at home and six on the road, with the regular season finishing June 30. The Roughnecks play at Abilene on that day and their last home game is June 9 against Amarillo.
