Texas League Baseball: RockHounds head to Tulsa

The Midland RockHounds, who have won nine of their last 11 games to surge into contention in the Texas League’s South Division, begin a six-game road swing at 7:05 tonight in Tulsa, Okla.
The RockHounds (28-22, TL second half), who are three games behind first-place San Antonio (31-19) with 20 games remaining, swept the Drillers (21-19) last week in Midland. The RockHounds play three games at Tulsa followed by three at Northwest Arkansas, then return home Aug. 23 for their final homestand of the year.
Midland center fielder Grant Green, one of the top prospects in the Oakland A’s farm system, takes a 14-game hitting streak into today’s game. He’s batting .448 during the streak and .303 for the season.
