Minor League Baseball: RockHounds win it in 12th inning
Comments 0 | Recommend 0LITTLE ROCK, ARK. With the bases loaded in the top of the 12th inning, Josh Donaldson drew a walk to bring in the winning run in the Midland RockHounds' 6-5 victory against the Arkansas Travelers on Friday.
Donaldson's two-out walk off Marco Albano scored Joshua Horton, who was the first to reach base with a one-out single.
Midland (43-35) broke a 1-1 tie by scoring two runs in the eighth, but the Travelers (30-48) responded with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning.
The RockHounds' Chris Carter was 3-for-6, while Alex Valdez went 2-for-3 with two walks and two runs.
Midland's Adrian Cardenas was 2-for-4 with two walks, one RBI and one run.
The RockHounds have taken two games of the three-game series, with the finale set for 7 p.m. today.
