"He is just now being able to hit top speed," head coach Johnny Taylor said. ... The Wildcats are an experienced team, with 26 seniors, which are "quite a few more than we usually have." ... Idalou runs the I and the spread offenses, though "it's 70-30" toward the I, Taylor said, as the Wildcats are very run heavy. ... In practice this week, Alpine quarterback Dominic Scott worked on putting more zip on his throws. Hanna said that in recent games he's been lobbing more than usual.

The Eagles run a lot of the veer on offense, while defensively it relies on the 10-1. ... Iraan head coach John Fellows said that because of Seagraves' defense, he put a few "wrinkles" in the offense for today, inserting some plays from last year's playbook. "It's enough to keep them guessing, but we're going to do what we do."
