Pro baseball: Cahill helps 'Hounds blank Travelers
Comments 0 | Recommend 0MIDLAND Trevor Cahill won his third consecutive start since being called up to Double-A and led the Midland RockHounds to a 7-0 win over the Arkansas Travelers on Friday night in a Texas League baseball game.
Cahill (3-0) struck out 10 and allowed two hits in eight innings for Midland, which has won three consecutive games.
Aaron Cunningham's RBI double in the first inning gave Midland a 1-0 lead.
Midland scored three runs in the fourth and three runs in the fifth behind Javier Herrera's two-run single and an RBI single by Anthony Recker.
Arkansas starter Anthony Ortega (8-5) gave up four hits and four runs in 3 1-3 innings.
