Texas League Baseball: RockHounds fall to Missions

MIDLAND The San Antonio Missions scored three runs in the top of the third inning and then made them stand up, defeating the Midland RockHound 4-2 Sunday evening at Citibank Ballpark.
The loss sanpped a three-game winning streak for the RockHounds (13-16) and dropped them back to five games behind San Antonio (18-11) in the Texas League South Division second-half race.
Michael Spina and Ryan Ortiz each had one RBI for Midland. Grant Green, Stephen Parker, Jeremy Barfield and Ortiz all had two hits in the loss.
The teams conclude their four-game series at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
