Texas League Baseball: 'Hounds lose again, magic number still four

SAN ANTONIO The Midland RockHounds had a chance to cut their magic number to making the playoffs in half Wednesday against San Antonio, but couldn’t hold onto a lead, losing 2-1 at Nelson Wolff Stadium.
Midland’s magic number is still at four with two games left in the series with San Antonio and five games remaining overall.
Frisco lost to Corpus Christi 9-0 on Wednesday, so the RoughRiders stay two games back in the South Division, but are now tied with the Missions for second place.
Frisco has already clinched a berth in the Texas League playoffs.
