Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Breaking out to an early lead, the Odessa Jackalopes never looked back in a 4-3 win over Corpus Christi on the road Thursday night.

Kory Karlander, Kenny Bernard and Paul Kelly each scored goals for the Jackalopes in the first period to give Odessa a 3-1 lead.

From there, the Jackalopes simply had to hang on behind goalie Juha Toivonen, who made 37 saves to lead Odessa (6-1-1) to the win.

Jeff Pierce sealed the game with a third-period goal on the power play.
