Central Hockey League: Jackalopes lose shootout in Missouri

INDEPENDENCE, MO. Less than 24 hours after winning in a shootout, the Odessa Jackalopes lost 4-3 in a shootout to the Missouri Mavericks Saturday night at the Independence Events Center.

Even in the loss, however, the Jackalopes earned one point, good enough to clinch the Southern Conference crown and home ice advantage during the conference playoffs. They still lead Rapid City in the race for home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs.

Mike Ramsay, Jeff Pierce and Collin Circelli all scored for Odessa (44-12-4). The Jackalopes continue their road trip with a 4 p.m. contest today in Amarillo.
