Central Hockey League: Jackalopes rout Gorillas, put playoff tickets on sale

AMARILLO The Odessa Jackalopes scored five goals in the third period to break open a close game and rout the host Amarillo Gorillas 8-1 Friday night at the Amarillo Civic Center.

Kory Karlander and Collin Circelli each scored a pair of goals for the Jackalopes, who improved to 38-9-4 on the season. Troy Ofukany, Jeff Pierce, Brian Swiniarski and Philippe Plante also scored goals for Odessa, with Sebastien Thinel finishing with four assists.

The Jackalopes, who put playoff tickets on sale Friday at Ector County Coliseum, conclude their five-game road trip at 7:05 tonight against the Texas Brahmas in North Richland Hills.
