Central Hockey League: Jackalopes suffer first loss

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS Scott Sheppard had two goals and three assists Saturday as the Texas Brahmas beat the Odessa Jackalopes 7-3 in Central Hockey League action at the NYTEX Sports Centre.

It was the first loss of the season for the Jackalopes (3-1, 6 points), who nonetheless opened the season with  success in four games on the road and lead the CHL's Southwest Division.

Sebastien Thinel and Dominic Leveille both had one goal and one assist in the loss, Jeff Pierce had two assists and Kory Karlander had a goal.

The Jackalopes will play host to Rio Grande Valley at 7:05 p.m. Friday in their home opener at Ector County Coliseum.
