Texas League Baseball: Hounds come back for victory

CORPUS CHRISTI Jeremy Barfields’ two-run home run off reliever Jason Stoffel in the top of the ninth inning lifted the Midland RockHounds to a 4-3 victory over Corpus Christi on Friday night at Whataburger Field.
The RockHounds (21-20) spotted the host Hooks (17-24) a three-run lead after five innings before scoring twice in the sixth inning to set up Barfield’s heroics.
Wes Timmons scored in front of Barfield, reaching base on a one-out walk by Stoffel.
The teams continue their series at 7:05 p.m. today.
