Premier Development League Soccer: Sockers to play host to Rio Grande Valley

The West Texas United Sockers will try to snap a seven-game losing streak when they host Rio Grande Valley at 7:30 tonight at Grande Communications Stadium.

All but out of the Premier Development League’s Mid-South Division race after a midseason swoon that has dropped the Sockers (3-9-0, 9 points) to a full 20 points behind first-place Chivas El Paso, West Texas United is hoping to make a late-season push in its final four games of the season.

To have a chance against Rio Grande Valley (3-7-2, 11 points), the Sockers have to find a way to put the ball in the net. During its seven-game slump, West Texas United has only scored three goals.
