College golf: Wranglers win WJCAC title
Comments 0 | Recommend 0RUIDOSO, N.M. The Odessa College golf team won the WJCAC Invitational at Alto Lakes Golf and Country Club with an eight-round score of 2,313.
The tournament's final scores include results from the Texas State and Region V tournaments played earlier this season.
All six OC players earned all-conference honors by finishing in the top 15 of the medalist standings, led by Joseph Totah in second place at 576 and Mark Penny in a fifth-place tie at 589.
Jordan Jeffers was eighth with a score of 591 and Ryan Myers took 10th at 598, followed by teammates Mathew Nolasco in 11th at 599 and Landon Waters in 12th at 602.
OC wrapped up the tournament with a score of 310 after firing a 275 on Sunday at the Links at Sierra Blanca.
OC has a meet-and-greet session for fans planned for 6-8 p.m. Friday at Champions Golf Center.
Monday's round was the team's final action until the NJCAA Championships, scheduled for May 20-23 in Dothan, Ala.
