Baseball: Permian plays nondistrict game at Monterey
Comments 0 | Recommend 0LUBBOCK The Permian Panthers take a break from the District 3-5A baseball race today when the visit Lubbock Monterey for a 5 p.m. game at Moegle Field.
The Panthers (10-11-1) are coming off an 8-7 loss in to innings on Tuesday at Abilene Cooper. It was Permian's third loss in four games.
Monterey (9-9) dropped its District 2-5A opener 3-2 to Amarillo Tascosa on Tuesday. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Plainsmen, who had been averaging seven runs a game.
