SEVENTH INNING

OHS leadoff hitter Chelsey Walters grounds out to second. Kristy Smith then slaps a first-pitch double inside the bag at third. Rosie Lopez grounds out to pitcher Jamie Lambert, with Smith moving to third, where she stays as Kendra Dees grounds out to second.

Shannen Myers leads off the Burleson half by hitting a little looper to Regean Paquette at first.Pinch hitter Katelyn Billings strikes out. Pinch hitter Hannah Beck lifts a fly ball to Rosie Lopez at second and it's over.....

SIXTH INNING

Roise Lopez leads off for OHS and hits a slow roller to second that is thrown away, putting Lopez on first. Lopez moves to second on Kendra Dees ground out to second. Courtney Cernoch hits a slow roller past the mound that shortstop Ashlee McDonald has no play on, with Lopez moving to third. As Lopez catches McDonald's attention, Cernoch moves to second. Hillary Phillips grounds out to third, with both runners holding. Mia Hignojos singles up the middle to score Lopez and Cernoch races home and jumps over the tag attempt by catcher Kelsey Matejka for the go-ahead run, with Hignojos moving to second on the throw. Erica Armendarez then singles over second, moving Hignojos to third. On an 0-2 pitch to Reagan Paquette, the ball gets away from Matejka and Hignojos races home with the third run of the inning, with Armendarez moving to second. Paquette strikes out, but the Lady Bronchos lead for the first time ...

Burleson's first hitter, Taylor Bankston, flies out to Kendra Dees in right. Ashley Jimenez singles to center. Summer Foster in as the courtesy runner. OHS pitcher Hillary Phillips gets Lady Elks DP Micaela McNeely to pop out. Phillips then strikes out Ashlee McDonald to end the inning 

FIFTH INNING

Erica Armendarez leads off the OHS half with a solid single to left. Bailea Nimmons in to pinch run. Burleson pitcher Jamie Lambert then strikes out Reagan Paquette looking. Chelsey Walters flies out to center for the second out and then Lambert strikes out Kristy Smith to end the inning.

Kari Fry leads off for Burleson, grounding out to Courtney Cernoch at third. Katy Monreal strikes out and then Marrissa Fichera flies out to center to end the inning.

FOURTH INNING

OHS gets a leadoff single to right-centerfield from Rosie Lopez. Kendra Dees hits a slow roller to second that is misplayed, allowing Lopez to reach second. Courtney Cernoch lines out to shortstop Ashlee McDonald, who doubles Lopez off second. Hillary Phillips lifts a bloop single to right that moves Dees to third. Karena Quiroz in as the courtesy runner for Phillips. The Lady Elks get out of the threat when Mia Hignojos grounds out to third.

Burleson goes down in order on ground outs by Ashlee McDonald and Shannen Myers, with Hillary Philllips striking out Kelsey Matejka to end the inning.

THIRD INNING

OHS goes down in order as Burleson pitcher Jamie Lambert strikes out Reagan Paquette, Chelsey Walters and Kristy Smith.

Burleson's Katy Monreal starts the inning grounding out to second and Marrissa Fichera follows with a ground out to first. Taylor Bankston singles into the hole at shortstop and moves to second when Ashleigh Jimenez reaches on an error. Bankston goes to third on a pickoff attempt, but OHS pitcher Hillary Phillips strikes out Michaela McNeely to end the threat.

SECOND INNING

Courtney Cernoch and Hillary Phillips ground out for the first two outs for OHS. Mia Hignojos then works a four-pitch walk, but Burleson pitcher Jamie Lambert comes back to strike out Erica Armendarez to end the inning.

Burleson Leads ... Shortstop Ashlee McDonald hits a single down the right-field line that gets past Kendra Dees and rolls to the fence, with McDonald racing around to third. She scores moments later when Shannen Myers lifts a sacrifice fly to left, but Laci Sanchez's throw to the plate is off the mark.Kelsey Matejka strikes out and Kari Fry pops out, but the Lady Elks lead for the first time in the series.

Burleson 1, OHS 0

FIRST INNING

Chelsey Walters leads off for OHS by grounding out to second. Kristy Smith then hits a ball into the gap in left where Burleson leftfielder Shannen Myers makes a twisting, leaping catch. After Rosie Lopez walks, Kendra Dees grounds out to first to end the inning.

Burleson lead off hitter Marrissa Fichera grounds out to pitcher Hillary Phillips, but Taylor Bankston singles to right for the first hit of the game. Bankston is erased at second on a fielder's choice by Ashleigh Jiminez with Phillips throwing to shortstop Chelsey Walters. Phillips then gets DP Michaela McNeely swinging on a change up to end the inning

PREGAME

Coaches are exchanging lineups for Game 2 of the Class 5A Regional Quarterfinal at Wells Field at Abilene Christian University. OHS, which won Game 1, 6-1, will be the visitor in this contest.
