Texas League Baseball: RockHounds get drama-filled victory

MIDLAND Jason Christian doubled home Adam Heether and Jeremy Barfield in the bottom of the ninth inning Wednesday and lifted the RockHounds to a 3-2 Texas League baseball victory against Corpus Christian at Citibank Ballpark.
The victory snapped a two-game losing streak for the RockHounds, who improved to 29-28 in the second half. The Hooks (23-34) were officially eliminated from postseason consideration.
Heether started the rally with a walk off Hooks reliever Jason Stoffel, and then Barfield reached on single to right field, setting up Christian’s game-winner hit.
