Last meeting: Amarillo defeated the Jackalopes, 2-1, on Saturday in Amarillo.

Outlook: The Jackalopes are coming off a 7-0 victory Tuesday against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, scoring five goals on the power play. Dominic Leveille leads the team in scoring with five points (three goals, two assists) with Collin Circelli (3-1), Jeff Pierce (2-2) and Mike Lesperence (0-4) tied for second with four points. The Jackalopes made a roster move Thursday, putting defenseman Dave Van Drunen on the injured list and signing rookie defenseman Derek May. Goaltender Juha Toivonen, in his first start of the year, stopped all 24 shots he faced for the shutout. … The Gorillas are led by forwards Joe Guenther (5-2-7) and Anthony Battaglia (3-4-7), while goaltender Mike Brown has been spectacular between the pipes with a 1.00 goal against average and .972 save percentage in winning all three games this season.
