Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Trying to add some depth to the competition for the starting quarterback job, the Odessa Roughnecks have signed former Texas A&M Commerce quarterback Terry Mayo for the 2010 season.

Mayo held the starting quarterback spot at Texas A&M Commerce for two consecutive years, passing for 3,073 yards and 21 touchdown passes in those two years.

An all-around athlete, Mayo was drafted in the 13th round of the 1999 Major League Baseball draft by the Milwaukee Brewers as an outfielder.

Mayo spent four seasons in the Brewers’ minor-league system as a center fielder.
