Woman reports being punched, robbed

An Odessa woman reported being the victim of a robbery Friday morning in the parking lot of the Blue Star Inn, 2405 E. Second Street.
In a police report, the woman stated a man she knew knocked on the door of her hotel room at 4:20 a.m., and when she answered he punched her in the face and took her purse, including her driver’s license, Social Security card and an unknown amount of cash. He was last seen getting in a white compact car of unknown make or model.
The man is described as black man, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing 190 pounds with black, hair brown eyes and about 40 years old with tattoos on his arms.
The woman’s injuries were reportedly confined to redness to her eye, and she declined transportation to the hospital.
