Carestar airlifts 2 women to MCH

Two men are dead and two women seriously injured following a one-vehicle crash Friday afternoon about two miles east of Toyah on Interstate 20.

According to a Texas Department of Public Safety report, a 2004 Ford Explorer heading eastbound on I-20 at 3:54 p.m. had a blowout leading to a rollover. The report stated three of the four passengers were ejected from the vehicle, killing both men.

Frank Noah Foshee, 26, and Jose Armando Felix, 25, both of El Paso, were pronounced dead at the scene, the report stated.

The ejected woman, 23-year-old Jennifer Vazquez, and 21-year-old Jeanette Vazquez, who remained in the vehicle, were transported by CareStar helicopter to Medical Center Hospital, the report stated. Jeanette Vazquez was wearing a seatbelt, the report stated, and suffered bruises. MCH listed her in fair condition Saturday. Jennifer Vazquez remained in the intensive care unit there. The DPS report stated she suffered head injuries and lacerations.

The report stated the two women were from San Elizario, a suburb about 20 miles southeast of downtown El Paso.
