AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
>> An Odessa man reported someone swung a baseball bat at him several times, striking him in the arms and causing $350 in damage to a glass door at his home at 6:50 p.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Douglas Drive.
BURGLARY OF A BUILDING
>> An Odessa man reported someone he possibly knew took a weed trimmer, a sander, a drill, a cutter and an extension cord worth a total of $1,290 between noon and 1 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Clifford Street. All of the property was later recovered.
>> Fashion Cleaners, 4892 E. University Blvd., reported someone smashed a glass door worth $600 and entered the business between 6 p.m. Sunday and 3:43 a.m. Monday.
>> An Odessa man reported someone entered his storage building and took a lawnmower, along with a weed trimmer and hedge cutter lying in his yard worth a total of $425 between 11 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Dobbs Avenue.
>> U-Haul, 4041 Maple Ave., reported someone caused $150 in damage to a glass door, entered an office and ransacked it between 9:30 p.m. Sunday and noon Monday.
>> 7-Eleven, 4100 E. 52nd St., reported someone caused $600 in damage to a window, entered the store and took six 20-packs of beer worth a total of $120 between 1:05 a.m. and 1:08 a.m. Aug. 5.
>> An Odessa man reported someone entered his storage building and took a dolly, compressor, tool box with miscellaneous tools, a lawn mower and a table saw worth a total of $1,280 between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of North Hancock Avenue.
BURGLARY OF A HABITATION
>> An Odessa woman reported someone she knew took two air conditioners, a CD player, five shorts and a TV worth a total of $910 between noon Aug. 4 and 9 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Honeysuckle Street.
>> An Odessa woman reported she saw someone run out her back door with her AK-47, and she believed that person also took a .45-caliber pistol, a 9 mm pistol, a .40-caliber pistol and a TV worth a total of $3,230 between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of East 36th Street.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone she knew entered her home and took a TV and 10 DVDs worth a total of $1,700 between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday in the 1900 block of North Alleghaney Avenue.
DEBIT CARD ABUSE
>> An Odessa man reported someone he knew used his debit card on July 20 at 7-Eleven, 2700 N. Grandview Ave.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
>> A 47-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 11:38 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of East Fourth Street.
Darrell Wayne Christian, 520 E. Monahans St., was being held Tuesday at the Ector County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
THEFT
>> All-American Chrysler Jeep and Dodge of Odessa, 2510 E. Eighth St., reported someone took a spare tire, a hoist and tire lock assembly, wheel and hubcap off of a silver 2009 Dodge 3500, along with various parts from 14 other vehicles worth a total of $11,820.69 between 7 p.m. Friday and 3:59 p.m. Monday.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE
>> An Odessa man reported someone took his dark blue 1988 Ford Ranger worth $800 between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Woodlawn Drive and East Monahans Street.
>> A Midland man reported someone took his silver 2002 Ford Mustang of undetermined value between 7:35 p.m. and 7:38 p.m. Saturday at Chevron, 1601 S. Grant Ave.
