Dusty Higgins of Midland paints the railings Tuesday morning at the McKinney Park sprayground.
The spray water playground is nearly complete and testing of the water features is under way.
Parks director Steve Patton said he hoped the park would be open by today, but there's some painting work left. He's shooting for next week.
