Some of you are going somewhere fabulous this summer - others are vacationing in the backyard. Either way, we know you'll have the camera out at a moment's notice.
Give us a peek at your favorite family vacation snapshot, and you could win the Odessa American's Summer Scrapbook Vacation Photo contest.
We've got entries already. There's a lakeside view from the mountains in Colorado. There's also a storm photo over First Baptist Church in Odessa.
Shoot away. Winners will be featured in the OA. The top winner will receive a digital camera. Second prize is a digital photo frame and third place is a $25 gift card.
Photo entries will be accepted now through Labor Day, which is Sept. 1 this year.
Photos will only be accepted on the OA's website. Register on our site in the top right corner. Once you have an identity and are logged in, then visit www.oaoa.com/share/galleries. There, check out the Vacation Photos gallery and click the "upload your photo" link to add your own.
The OA's photo staff will determine the top 10 photos. Those top 10 will then be placed on an online ballot. Voting begins Sept. 4 and ends Sept. 11.
The photos will be tied to your identity on the website. Check your messages frequently (the top right corner of the page will have a spot to tell you if you have a message) to see if you've made the top 10 or won.
Photos must have been taken in 2008.
Winners will be announced and published Sept. 14 in the OA.
