Karl Rove to speak at UTPB event

A trusted political guru and friend of President George W. Bush will take the stage in November at UTPB.

The University of Texas of Permian Basin and the JBS Public Leadership Institute announced Tuesday that Karl Rove, former White House deputy chief of staff, will speak at UTPB in November.

Rove, who also served as senior advisor to President Bush, resigned from his position at the White House in August and will be the speaker for UTPB’s November Distinguished Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 in the UTPB gym. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 552-2850.
