ECISD board meeting

Ector County Independent School District trustees plan to discuss the qualifications and job description of a superintendent candidate, and the process for advertising the position during a Tuesday meeting.

Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. in the boardroom at the ECISD Administration Building, 802 N. Sam Houston Ave.

Trustees will also consider approving an election order and notice for the May 10 board elections.

Positions 2, 4, 5 and 7 are open for election and candidates may file for election until March 10.

Also Tuesday evening, trustees will consider approving term contract renewals, contract extensions and proposed non-renewals for administrative, professional support employees and head football coaches/ campus athletic coordinators and the routine personnel report.

Trustees will consider approving a tri-ethnic committee member and look at the traditional school calendar for the 2008-’09 school year.
