Comments 0 | Recommend 0H-E-B works to replenish stores hit by hurricane
CORPUS CHRISTI In the wake of Hurricane Dolly, H-E-B has deployed 89 trucks from the San Antonio Warehouse loaded with groceries and relief supplies to H-E-B stores in the Rio Grande Valley.
The trucks will stretch a mile along the highway from San Antonio to the Valley.
Once the H-E-B trucks reach Highways 281 and 83, they'll go their separate ways, each to supply specific stores.
The trucks are leaving at 10:30 a.m. this morning.
More than 15 H-E-B stores in the affected areas are closed due to lack of accessibility and electricity. H-E-B has reported it will re-open the stores as soon as electricity is restored and they are deemed safe for employees and customers.
H-E-B's Emergency Preparedness Hotline (800-651-0734) is available for H-E-B Partners, customers, vendors and members of the media to get information and emergency assistance, as well as get an update on stores that are re-opened.
