Terlingua man charged

TERLINGUA Officials in Brewster County have charged a Terlingua Ranch man sheriff’s deputies arrested in connection with a sexual assault of a 19-year-old man.
Authorities said Daniel Martinez, 46, kidnapped the man outside the Boathouse Bar and Restaurant in Terlingua Ghost Town on Sunday night and sexually assaulted him in south Brewster County, The Big Bend Gazette reported.
The victim escaped and ran some three miles to Highway 118 where authorities spotted him, according to the Gazette. Brewster County jail officials said Martinez is being held on a $35,000 bond.
