Tech accreditation

Comments 0

The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has reaffirmed Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center’s accreditation.

During an accreditation visit in May, the site team accepted TTUHSC compliance documentation with no recommendations for the institution. Elmo Cavin, interim president of TTUHSC, said this process gives the institution the opportunity to reflect on its accomplishments and future direction.

"Our reaffirmation is the result of the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, administration and students, and would not have been possible without each group’s unique contribution," Cavin said. "Our institution has met the standards of quality and effectiveness, and we are proud of these accomplishments."

The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states.

"I am very proud of our people at TTUHSC and the outstanding job they do," Texas Tech University System Chancellor Kent Hance said.
