Speed sign review

Ector County commissioners will consider the results of a speed study at their Monday meeting.

They will consider whether to put up 30 mph speed limit signs in some residential areas in West Odessa, said Commissioner Dale Childers. While the speed limit is already 30 there, some of the areas don’t currently have signs posted.

Another item would authorize the county’s building maintenance department to make adjustments for a new building planned at 2330 W. 10th Street. Childers said the building would allow the department to move out of the administration annex building.

“They’re going to have to move some light poles,” he said.

Commissioners will also consider:

>> A donation of a piano valued at $600 from Second Baptist Church to the Westside Senior Center.

>> An increase in the health department’s yellow fever vaccination fee from $80 to $100 per injection.

>> Proposal specifications for financial advisor services independent audit services.

>> Bids on asphaltic materials, asphalt-patching material, graded base material, seal coat aggregate and water.

>> The 2010-2011Victims of Crime Act Grant application and budget.

>> Amendments to the administrative services agreement between Ector County and Group Resources Inc. with regard to protected health information disclosures.

>> Selling property at 2500 W. 12th. Street for $5,000.00 and at Pronto Avenue for $2,000.00, which are both less than the market value specified in the judgment of foreclosure against the property and are also less than the total amount of judgment against the property.
