Southwest 66 Credit Union presents ‘Loan Foregiveness' awards

In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Southwest 66 Credit Union presented two winners with "Loan Forgiveness" awards. 

The "Loan Forgiveness" award winners were James Magness of Odessa, who won the "Other" Loan Forgiveness prize and Miranda Castilleja, who won the "Auto" Loan Forgiveness prize.

"Given the troubled times, we wanted to do something to help our members and to truly change someone's life," said Mark Williams, president and chief executive officer of Southwest 66.

"What made it even more special is hearing the story each member had to share."

Magness, who won $4,988.07, borrowed the money for home improvement and Castilleja, a single mom, had her 2004 Nissan X-Terra balance of $10,687.05 paid off as her prize.
