The Permian Basin Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants presented an  $8,500 check to the University of Texas of the Permian Basin at its annual Shrimp Boil. Pictured are UTPB accounting professors Wayne Counts, Barbara Scofield and Shirley Davenport, second from right. UTPB’s Director of Institutional Advancement Kay Bivens, center, accepted the check signed by chapter president Phil Davis, far right. The funds will help provide accounting scholarships for UTPB students.
