Arrest made in Midland shooting
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A suspect in a Midland shooting was arrested Monday in Lubbock.
Baldo Gonzalez, 37, was being held in the Lubbock County Jail on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge filed by Midland police, according to a news release from spokeswoman Tina Jauz. His bond is $250,000.
Gonzalez was arrested by SWAT officers during a traffic stop. He faces unrelated charges in Lubbock.
Gonzalez was charged in connection with the shooting of 26-year-old Robert Yorkman on Oct. 20. Yorkman was shot in the torso at Yorkman’s Detail Shop in the 3400 block of Illinois Avenue.
Jauz said Gonzalez won’t be brought to Midland until Lubbock authorities finalize their charges against him.
