Loving County man transported to MCH

LOVING COUNTY An oilfield accident in Loving County left a man in critical condition at Medical Center Hospital.

The accident happened a little after 10:30 Monday morning about five miles south of State Highway 652, according to the Loving County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s reports said oilfield worker Mike Neeves was leveling off some pressure on a pipe when it struck him.

Medical Center Hospital’s CareStar air ambulance took the man to the hospital in Odessa. He was listed in critical condition late Monday.

Neeves works for Chesapeake Energy Corp., which has headquarters in Oklahoma City, sheriff’s reports said.
