Boy Scouts to honor local woman

Shirley West is being honored by the Buffalo Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America at the 2011 Good Scout Award Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Odessa Country Club.

The Good Scout Award recognizes individuals who exemplify each component of the Scout Oath and Law in their everyday life. The event is open to the public and reservations are required. The cost is $50 per person.
