BURGLARY OF A HABITATION
>> An Odessa woman reported someone caused $400 in damage to a window, then entered the home through that window and took a digital camera and jewelry box with jewelry worth $1,150 between 9 a.m. and 6:35 p.m. Thursday in the 1800 block of County Road West.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone entered her home and assaulted her at 4:15 p.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of Cambridge Street. She later went to Odessa Regional Medical Center.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone entered her home by breaking a screen on a window, causing $50 in damage at 3 p.m. Thursday in the 1800 block of East 51st Street.
>> An Odessa man reported someone caused $50 in damage to a wooden fence, then entered his home and took a video recorder, gaming console, a pair of earrings and a digital camera worth $997 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of E. 50th Street.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone caused $320 in damage to a metal door and door jam, then entered her home and took a TV and boom box worth $850 between 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of South Sam Houston Avenue.
FORGERY
>> Ace Check Cashing, 1305 E. 8th Ave., reported someone the business knew signed someone else's name on a check sometime Oct. 3.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
>> A 28-year-old Odessa man was arrested at 12:55 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of South Grandview Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Christopher Montgomery, of 1471 S. Jackson Ave., was being held Friday at the Ector County Detention Center on a $7,500 bond.
>> A 47-year-old Odessa man was arrested at 12:16 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of Roxanna Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Jesus Castaneda, of 1200 N. Hancock Ave., was being held Friday at the Ector County Detention Center
