Army Sgt. Eric Rose

Former Midland Independent School District Superintendent Joe Baressi welcomes Army Sgt. Eric Rose May 6 at the Midland International Airport. Behind him is his mother, Liz Rose of Midland. The Permian Basin Welcome Home Committee and the Patriot Guard Riders were on hand to welcome him home. Rose is a Combat Engineer and is serving his second tour in Iraq. He has been in Iraq for 5 month (15 month tour) and will be home for three weeks. He is a 2001 graduate of Midland High School and attended Texas Tech University for two years. He is also the son of Jack Rose of Midland and the brother of Mark Rose of Houston.
