PRESIDIO COUNTY The freezing weather throughout the Permian Basin was blamed for two minor accidents between Marfa and Alpine on Tuesday as roads between the towns iced over, Presidio County Sheriff's Office communicator Ida Porras said.

No serious injuries were reported in either accident.

The area received sub-freezing temperatures and light snowfall Tuesday.

Porras said the sheriff's office was advising drivers to slow down along the highways while the ice remained on the roads.
