    Cottonwood construction continues

    Ector County road and bridge crews have been working on the shoulder area of Cottonwood Road near Gardendale for the past couple weeks, the department’s director said.
       The construction was needed because of ruts caused by erosion created by recent rains, Richard Fierro said. It is part of regular maintenance.
       Along with fixing ruts, workers are removing large rocks that hinder the use of the road by county maintenance vehicles, Fierro said.
       The work, which is all being done “in house,” is expected to be completed next week, Fierro said.
