Motor club honors veterans
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Double Diamond Motor Club has scheduled its ninth annual motorcycle ride beginning at 9 a.m. today at the VFW hall in Monahans.
The ride is open to anyone riding on two or four wheels.
The ride will make stops at the following locations:
>> Shortly after 9 a.m.: Monahans Care Center Nursing Home.
>> 9:30 a.m.: Monahans cemetery for a flag-rising in honor of Pauline Fuentes.
>> 10 a.m.: The "Not Forgotten" ceremony by the golf course in Monahans.
>> 11 a.m.: Winkler County Senior Citizens Center.
>> Noon: Pyote Rattlesnake Bomber Base Museum.
At each stop, the riders will take time to salute the veterans to honor the men and women who have served the United States in war. The final stop will include refreshments.
