The man who died in an accident Tuesday in northwest Odessa was identified as 49-year-old Billy Don Grimes.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Buck Welch, a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 was northbound on Loop 338 when it collided with the driver’s side of a white Toyota Avalon, which failed to yield the right of way.

Grimes, who was driving the Avalon, died on impact, Welch said. No citations were issued.
