Trustees have scheduled a public hearing to report the district's Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas rating. The FIRST rating uses a number of indicators to assess how school districts use their money, such as the data in district financial reports following state guidelines.
In addition to hearing the FIRST report, superintendent Hector Mendez will detail some goals to the board, and the 2008 TEA Texas English Language Proficiency System results will be discussed. TELPAS measures the academic success of LEP students still learning the English language.
