Aggravated robbery at Chick-Fil-A
Odessa police said a man in the parking lot of Chick-Fil-A, 3805 E. 42nd St., reported three men came up while he was in his vehicle at about 9:05 p.m.
The victim told police that while in the parking lot, three men forced him out of his vehicle, assaulted him, threatened him with what he believed to be a gun and took his wallet, cash and cell phone. The man told police he knew two of the assailants.
“The victim’s vehicle was never taken,” reported Cpl. Sherrie Carruth of the Odessa Police Department, despite the incident being described by some media outlets as a car-jacking due to the abandoned vehicle.
The suspects were described as Hispanic males in their early 20s. One was described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes and wearing a white sweater. The second suspect is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes and wearing a black shirt and black pants. The third suspect is described as 6-feet tall, 170 pounds and no other details were available.
Carruth said the incident remained under investigation.
