The following is a list of felony criminal activities reported to the police. Numbered addresses of crime victims’ private residences and locations where crimes occur are rounded to the nearest hundred block.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
- An Odessa man reported someone he knows hit him with a vehicle, causing bruising and a scrape on his left knee, at 10 p.m. Sunday in the unit block of Coral Drive. He was not transported to the hospital.
- An Odessa woman reported someone she knows assaulted her with a deadly weapon, causing a cut above her left eye, at 12:05 a.m. Sunday in the 3200 block East Fifth Street. She was not transported to the hospital.
- An Odessa man reported someone tried to hit him with a car at 12:04 p.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of East Eighth Street.
- An Odessa woman reported someone she knows pointed a weapon at her and then did $300 damage to her 2008 Jeep Rubicon between 2:30 a.m. and 2:50 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Fitch Avenue.
ASSAULT BY STRANGULATION
- An Odessa woman reported someone she knows assaulted her by putting their hands around her neck and impeding her breathing 3:45 p.m. Friday in the 2900 block of East University Boulevard.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY
- A Midland man reported someone tried take something from him using force at 1 a.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of JBS Parkway.
BURGLARY OF A BUILDING
- An Odessa man reported someone kicked in the door to his home intending to take something at 2:26 a.m. Saturday in the 4300 block of Esmond Drive.
- An Odessa man reported someone went into a storage building and took a radio, a saw, a compressor and two drills worth a total of $1,318 January 2012 on East 53rd Street.
BURGLARY OF A HABITATION
- An Odessa woman reported someone went into her home, doing $500 damage to the front doorframe, and took two laptops, a gaming system, five games and two controllers worth a total of $2,460 and $200 cash between 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of West 11th Street.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
- An Odessa woman reported someone she knows did $2,400 damage to the driver’s side door of her 2007 Hyundai Sonata between 6:20 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. Thursday in the 1700 block of West 24th Street.
EVADING ARREST
- A 28-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with felony evading arrest (with previous convictions) at 1:35 p.m. Saturday in the 3700 block of Andrews Highway. Michael Beseril, 2918 Catalina Drive, was being held on $15,000 bond Monday evening at the Ector County Detention Center.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
- A 23-year-old Odessa woman was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine at 2:59 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of East 42nd Street. Kandace Ann Warren, 6105 Alta Vista Road, was being held on bonds totaling $165,000 Monday evening at the Ector County Detention Center.
- A 49-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine at 7:17 a.m. Friday in the 2900 block of East Highway 80. Darrell Wayne Christian, 520 E. Monahans St., was being held on bonds totaling $27,500 Monday evening at the Ector County Detention Center.
THEFT
- Sears, 4101 E. 42 St., reported someone left the store with two pillows and a chainsaw worth a total of $209.96 without paying for them between 5 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Friday. The pillows and chainsaw were later recovered.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE
- An Odessa woman reported someone she knows took her 2004 Ford Mustang between just after midnight and 1:53 a.m. Sunday in the 3700 block of North Jackson Avenue.
- An Odessa man reported someone he knows took his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado between 7:45 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Friday in the 600 block of West Pool Street.
