The following is a list of felony criminal activities reported to the police. Numbered addresses of crime victims’ private residences and locations where crimes occur are rounded to the nearest hundred block.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON
>> A 37-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon at 12:49 a.m. Saturday after an Odessa man reported someone choked him and threatened to kill him with a knife in the parking lot of Medical Center Hospital, 500 W. Fifth St.
Marcus Dwain McDavid, 905 Snyder St., was being held Monday at the Ector County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
BURGLARY OF A HABITATION
>> An Odessa woman reported someone took $620 in cash from his residence between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3900 block of Englewood Circle.
>> An Odessa man reported someone forced entry, damaging a $50 window, and took a $4,000 flat-screen television between 12:20 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. Monday in the 2700 block of East Eighth Street.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone took two bottles of perfume, two lighters, a T-shirt and a pink stun gun worth a total of $302. The items were all recovered, but there were no arrests.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone kicked in a door and took a laptop computer, videogame console and game and two pairs of shoes worth a total of $1,030 between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday in the 4700 block of Oakwood Drive.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
>> An Odessa woman reported someone damaged three tires worth a total of $900 between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday in the 3700 block of Andrews Highway.
EVADING ARREST
>> A 26-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with evading arrest at 1:18 a.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of Eisenhower Road.
Joshua Ray Perez, 800 E. 25th St., was being held Monday at the Ector County Detention Center on bonds totaling $116,500. Perez was out on bond at the time of his arrest, and the bond amount includes those charges.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
>> A 70-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and felony driving while intoxicated at 3:28 a.m. Monday in the 700 block of North Jackson Avenue.
Leo Pace Jr., 1000 E. Monahans St., was being held Monday at the Ector County Detention Center on bonds totaling $50,000.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
>> An 18-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana at 7:05 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of West University Boulevard.
Luis Otilio Amancio, 834 Ave. I, was released Saturday on a $7,500 bond.
ROBBERY
>> 7-Eleven, 600 S. Grandview Ave., reported two men took $59.96 worth of beer and threatened to kill the clerk in the process. Fifteen dollars worth of beer were recovered. There were no arrests.
The suspects were described as two Hispanic males in their late 20s. One was described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue pants and whites shoes. The other man was described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing blue pants and a white shirt.
THEFT
>> Bellows Systems, 701 W. Murphy St., reported someone took four tires worth a total of $1,100 between 7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Sunday.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE
>> Kelly Grimsley Honda, 5301 JBS Parkway, reported someone took a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe worth $45,000 between 8:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. The vehicle was recovered at 4101 E. 42nd St. There were no arrests.
