The Odessa Police Department is looking for a man who reportedly tried to lure two children into his black Hummer with money.

According to a news release from the police department, two 7-year-old boys were walking near 11th Street and Idlewood Lane on their way to school Tuesday morning when a middle-aged white man stopped and gave them a dollar. The man told the boys that he lived in the area and that he would give them more money if they would come to his house.

The two boys reported the incident to their school, which the release did not specify, and told school administrators they have never seen the black Hummer and attached truck bed in the neighborhood before. They were not given a specific address.

Anyone with information on this man or his vehicle should contact the Odessa Police Department at 333-3641 or Odessa Crime Stoppers at 333-8477.
