    Memorial dedication scheduled Wednesday

The Fallen Officer Memorial will be dedicated at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Park, the park formerly known as Buffalo Wallow on 42nd Street across from Music City Mall.

Officials with American State Bank of Odessa will dedicate the memorial in memory of six officers who have died on duty in Ector County, including three who were shot to death in September 2007 - police corporals Arlie "Lee" Jones, Scott Gardner and Abel Marquez.

The others being honored are sheriff's deputy Thad West, police corporal G.T. Toal and police officer Scott Smith.
