A massive search will start Friday for a Fort Stockton man who was reported missing more than 20 years ago, according to a news release from the Texas EquuSearch Mounted Search and Recovery Team.
The group is looking to use mappers, ATV riders, horse riders, well cameras and vehicles to deliver the ATVs in the Odessa and Fort Stockton areas in search of Joe Daggett, who was reported missing March 1, 1988.
A briefing will be Thursday for team leaders, but the location of that briefing has not been determined yet.
In 1988, Daggett was 5 feet, 10 inches, with green eyes, red hair and freckles. He was last seen in Pecos.
Daggett was a member of the Fort Stockton Lions Club, a member of the Texas Cattlemen's association, a member of the Pecos county livestock show association and participated in several other local organizations.
Anyone who has information on Daggett's disappearance or his whereabouts can call search director Sean Henady at 765-714-2333 or missing persons private investigator James Juliano at 505-440-1455.
